Doin-It-Myself
Hydrogen Power Project

I have decided to take on the job of creating a unit that will enable me to run my pickup solely on water (hydrogen).  My friend Ed has decided to help me with it.  Since I am a poor man, I will endeavor to make as much of it as I can using my own motive skills, instead of trying to buy or hire out machining and what-not.  These pages document our work.  As I refer to information supplied by other websites I will provide links to give credit where credit is due.

If my understanding of the concept is correct, we will need an an array of cathodes and annodes. This I will refer to as the "Excitor Array".

Since I want to install a working unit on my truck (instead of running the risk of ruining something) I'll need a power supply to test the unit with.  I'll also need to be able to vary the voltage because I want to minimize the amount of electricity required to operate the system. So, I got a "Variable Transformer", also referred to as a "variac".

The variac provides 1-150 volts alternating current (VAC). My truck uses 12 volts direct current (VDC). So, I need a "Rectifier" to convert AC to DC.
